Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB9261, TUSB9261DEMO
Hi team,
My customer is using our TUSB9261-Q1 for SATA and they connect TX/RX incorrect pin.
They would like to know whether TUSB9261-Q1 SATA signal TX/RX can be swap or not. Thanks.

Hi Feng,
Brain is correct TX and RX lanes cannot swap. TUSB9261 does have a option to swap polarity of TX and RX (swap P and N pins). This can be done through different FW available on ti.com.
Hello,
There is only 1 FW provided on ti.com which supports the HW design of TUSB9261DEMO EVM.
Unfortunately, we didn't follow the EVM's design and thus we'll need a different FW which will swap P and N pins of TX.
How can we get this FW?
Hi Kien,
If the installer on ti.com was used then a file path similar tot eh below should exist. The Alternate SATA Polarity FW folder holds the different options for polarity swap of TX P & N and/or RX P & N.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TUSB926x Firmware\Alternate SATA Polarity FW
Hi Malik,
Thanks for your prompt support. I was able to make it work by downloading the file TUSB926x_FW_v1.06_SATA_NO_POLARITY_SWAP.hex
However, it only works with 2TB or less HDD. Is it possible to make it work with 16TB HDD?
Malik,
I've found that the FW supports MBR partition which cap the max capacity at 2TB. My HDD is using GPT partition. That leads to the issue. Is it possible to have a FW supporting GPT?
