TPS65987D: Relationship between virtual address and APP config mask

I am learning how to use the GPIO input to determine the request PDO voltage. I checked the demonstration template and found the virtual address and APP config mask quite confusing. Whats the relationship between these two numbers? Thanks.

Hello,

Application Configuration event GPIOs: Input GPIOs can be configured to load the appropriate configuration set in the Virtual address based on the input signal and also execute a PD message task (Eg: send SSrC - PD Send Source Capabilities). App config mask selects a particular virtual address on falling/rising event on a GPIO. App config event can be mapped to a GPIO using IO Config tab in the GUI.

Thanks for your reply. So my understanding is the mask should be one of the virtual address (in my case 0x2 0x3 or 0x0) instead of 0x4 0x8 provided by the template. Am I right? Thanks!

Hello,

The picture below shows an example configuration. In the App Configuration mask, you need to select one of the virtual addresses listed in the box B. While selecting virtual address, make sure you are not selecting the address reserved (shown in box A) for I2C.
