DS90UB936-Q1: what other thing do customer need to do when change from 933+936 to 953+936

What is failing with 953+936? Mode should be strapped for CSI-2, but is it sync or non sync? Either answer changes the back channel which may causing you not to lock. Make sure the 953 and 936 mode strappings are also compatible.

We have kept 953 and 936 both on the sync CSI.

And I found that customer's 936 has no REFCLK input! 

May I ask whether 936 need REFCLK input if in sync mode with 953?

Hi Amelie, 

The 936 needs a reference clock regardless of being in sync or non sync mode. Make sure your customer is supply a clock source to the 936. The 953 doesn't need a reference clock input because in sync mode, it will use the DES as the reference.

I have asked customer to add REFCLK in their system.

Customer now met a new question: their enable PATTERN but the arm processor can't receive and display.

May I ask whether the PATTERN setting is ok?

Do you mean that the 936 is sending a pattern but the arm processor doesn't recognize it? What data type is it expecting to receive? There's a patgen tab in the 954 where you can input all your values and then display registers. You can check your code against that.

Just two more questions:

• Whether the CSI-2 Clock need to keep the same mode （Non Continuous or Continuous） in 935 and 936

Could customer make 935 and sensor continuous CSI clock mode but 936 non-continuous CSI clock mode?

• Customer now  refer to 936 datasheet 7.6.4 Code Example for Pattern Generator but the display is abnormal as following:

The 935 and the 936 clocking modes are independent of each other, so to answer your first questions, yes. 

Is the abnormality the missing pixels in the x and y axis or is that a cursor? I'm not exactly sure what is the error.
