DS15BA101: LVDS output into a cable with 90 ohm Zo rather than 100 ohm Zo

Part Number: DS15BA101

Am I correct in my interpretation that the external 50 ohm p/u resistors shown as required in the application notes, function as the CML driver collector resistors, and thus also serve to set the LVDS transmitter impedance and affect the voltage swing?  If I want to drive a high speed LVDS signal into say, a USB-C cable through one of the superspeed pairs (Zo=90 +/-5 ohms) I could change these p/u resistors to 45 ohms each to match the USB-C cable Zo?
