DS90UB947-Q1: Inquiry about screen shaking symptoms

Hi,

The customer is using DS90UB947/948.

During use, we found a symptom of shaking the screen of the terminal and contact us.

(We will directly deliver the content of customer inquiries.)

I want to check the status of hsync/vsync.

If there is a register in DS90UB947/948 where you can check related information, please inquire.

Or, if there is any part of the register that can be helpful, please tell us.

    Hello MJ,

     is this behavior happening permanently or occasionally? If not always, can you please provide register dump from both devices, in a good case and in a shaking case?

    Also can you tell me what is the used PCLK? and if the link is running in a single or dual lane?

    I have additional questions.

    Inquire about the BISTEN/PASS pin of the DS90UB948 Deserializer.

    • BISTEN: LOW (PULL-DOWN)

    • PASS: LOW

    Currently, both PINs have the same status as above.

    On the datasheet, if there is no problem, the PASS pin seems to be in the HIGH state, but it is confirmed as LOW.

    What is the problem?

    The screen output is operating normally, but intermittent screen shaking is being reported,

    so please inquire about the relationship between this phenomenon and the state of the PASS pin.

    Hello MJ,

    PASS pin does not have any functionality in normal operation mode. PASS is only functioning in BIST mode.

    Answers to the inquiries above are received and delivered.

    1. This phenomenon occurs well after booting during on/off test. (Not a continuous phenomenon)

    2. It is difficult to check the register dump when it is shaken briefly.

    (If it is normal, tell us the register that needs to be checked and we will dump it.)

    3. PCLK uses AP's PLL. (single link)

    In addition, we will send you a video link about the symptoms of badness.

    Please check for defects.

    At least I need to get register dumps from both devices, before the flickering and after few minutes of operation (when display is stable)
