TMDS181: For DVI Input Interface

Hi TI Team,

We are planning to use TMDS181 for DVI input application. What is the maximum resolution supported and is there any reference design for DVI input using TMDS181 IC.

The TMDS181 can support 4k2k60p and Up to WUXGA 16-Bit Color Depth or 1080p With Higher Refresh Rates. You can use Figure 32 in the TMDS181 datasheet as a reference for the DVI design.

Hi David,

Thank you for your quick response. I have few more queries regarding it. Whether TMDS181 will work for pin strapping settings without enabling I2C .? Is there any settings for changing DVI and HDMI input modes.?

The TMDS181 will work with DVI in the pin-strapping mode and there is no setting change between the DVI and HDMI input mode.
