IC recommend

Please recommend an IC that can implement the function of the block diagram above.

I want to transmit a 6 pin signal (consisting of Digital Audio signal, UART signal and GPIO signal) as 1 signal.

The two boards are about 3m apart, and there should be no problem with the communication function. And since it will always be on, we are looking for an IC with low power consumption.
We are reviewing serdes, but the power consumption is too high. this IC with low power consumption is required.

  • You need at least two wires, for the signal and ground. And the transformations you are describing are called "serializing" and "deserializing".

It would be a better idea to run six wires between the boards. In fact, at 3 m, it's likely that you need differential transmission (e.g., LVDS), so you would need eleven wires.

  • Hansook,

Along with what Clemens said, our group doesn't have a transceiver that can do this. We have LIN and IO-Link devices that has a single-ended communication bus, but these won't be able to combine 6 signals into one bus signal (I believe that's what is trying to be done here).

Can you elaborate a bit more on else is trying to be done here?

    Regards,
