DS90UB927QEVM: Setting for addressing deserializer remotely

Part Number: DS90UB927QEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP

Hi,

Customer is using 926 and 927 evm to evaluate device and are working on the I2C however few questions arose when trying to send information from serializer to deserializier to enable I2C to a touch screen display.

1. When connecting MCU to serializer only detecting the serializer address (0x18) and to see the deserializer requires to launch the ALP software. Does anything need to configured to access the deserializer?

2. If wanting the I2C address of the display to be accessible, would it only require enabling I2C pass through on i2C control register?

3.Not seeing why to use INTB on the ALP software, is there a way to use INTB?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

  • Hi Alexis,

You would need to enable i2c pass through and program the display's I2C address to SlaveID and SlaveAlias registers to gain access from the serializer side.

Please make sure the Ser and Des are locked.

There's no ALP control for INTB pin. You would need to create a interrupt event from the DES side.

    Best Regards,
