DS90UB962-Q1: I2C issue

Part Number: DS90UB962-Q1

Dear team,

My customer encounters a I2C issue. After host sends remote slave RESET signal, all write command and read command become abnormal between 962/933/camera sensor and host. If we configure 962 register 0x58=0x78 instead of 0x58=0x58, then the fault disappear. It seems this fault is related to ACK signal. Have you seen this fault phenomenon before?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sherry

  • Hi Sherry,

Are they having stable lock? Is the customer setting the slave and aliases?

    Set Aliases on the Deserializer:

    - Des reg 0x4C: Select the right RX port to write

    - Set/Check real I2C addresses

    - Reg 0x5B SER DEVICE ID: Set the real serializer I2C address. This is typically loaded already

    - Reg 0x5D SlaveID[0]: Set the real CMOS sensor I2C address

    - Reg 0x5C SER_ALIAS_ID: Set the alias serializer I2C address

    - Reg 0x65 SLAVE_ALIAS_ID[0] (camera alias ID): Set the alias CMOS sensor I2C address

    Communicate using the alias only.
