Hello,

I have been working on a custom design that includes the SN65DSI86 MIPI to eDP bridge, and I would like to understand something.

I implemented the “I2C indirect method EDID read” described on the page 33 of the IC datasheet and I can obtain the correct display information most of the times. There are cases where I can’t read the EDID until I disconnect and reconnect the board from my screen. I believe this due to my Linux driver implementation.

My question is, which are the necessary conditions that the bridge needs to satisfy to perform a correct “I2C indirect method EDID read”?

Any clarification information would be appreciated.
