SN65DSI83: SN65DSI84/84/85 has same initialisation sequence

Part Number: SN65DSI83

Seems like SN65DSI83, 84, 85 are similar family of DSI to LVDS bridges, does initialisation sequence of all these chips are same? I mean I2C registers offsets along with bit fields except 84 and 85 require dual-link registers configuration in order to connect another LVDS panel?

Hi Jagan,

Yes, all these devices have the same initialization sequence. DSI84 and DSI85 do not require dual-link configuration in order to connect to a panel. You can configure both of them as single-link like the DSI83 if you choose.

One more questions is that for 84/85 the dual-link configurations means we can connect and manage only one channel panel link at a time right? not dual link channel at same time (accessing dual panels at same time)?

You can configure them for either single-channel operation or dual-channel operation.
