My customer has an question for the board layout related to termination circuit.
The datasheet says that “Differential traces must 100-ohm differential”.
Because of pin layout of RX+, RX-, TX+ and TX-, to prioritize differential traces of RX pair and TX pair, some vias have to be used for board layout.
Aactually our EVM uses some vias.
I just confirm the priority.
The 1st priority is keep differential trace of each pairs, then minimum vias that could change the impedance is acceptable.
Is this understanding correct?
