LMH0397: Recommended Isolation for HD-SDI output?

Hi Team,

Can you please advise with following request:

There is a subject we would like to consult on your expertise. We will use LMH0397 IC. Is there an isolation transformer that you recommend us to use in the HD-SDI output? The video signal to be produced needs to be transmitted to the outside world in isolation, is there an isolation transformer you can recommend to us? Or what are the parameters required for the transformer? Could you tell us about the parameters we should pay attention to when choosing transformers for HD-SDI?

Hi Furkan,

We would need to have a high bandwidth transformer. It would be good to have a bandwidth of at least 3GHz. Please check with Pulse transformer since this could be one potential supplier of these transformers.

Thank you for the information. What we call up to 3GHz makes a large bandwidth. If we try to make the lower and upper limit more specific, for example, the videos we will use are 1024x 768 @ 60Hz and 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz. With this information, can they give us lower and upper frequency limits for the transformer?

There are variant transformers that we have chosen, can they check their suitability?

We could not find a transformer that can provide isolation in Pulse. If you have a product you know you use, we would be very happy if you could recommend it.

Hi Furkan,

I am not familiar with transformer noted. Perhaps customer can contact Pulse and get the latest update regarding RF transformer. One potential part could be CX2038:
