how should I use 948 to show black screen?

we want to show a black screen(or didn't do any output to make screen black) when we start up our head unit.

Could you tell me all solution about this?

I think one way is AV mute.

on the other hand, we are using SoC⇒947⇒948 for now,

so we cannot use I2C to access directly.

how should I do black screen in this case.

Is there any way that I can change the register of 947 by using I2C to make 948 output black screen.

you have a link SoC --> 947 --> 948 --> Display, correct?

And you want the 948 to display black screen? If yes, why do not you simply turn-off the back light of the display?

we cannot turn off the back light in our system,

That is the problem we want to cover by using some register of 948 or 947.

Hello Yoko,

On the 948, you can use register 0x4A[0]. This bit will put all LVDS channels in power down mode.

I didn't find 0x4A in the data sheet of 948.

how should I do?

and is there a way that I can do the black screen by setting the register of 947?

because I am using remote model so that I have to change the register of 947 to control 948.

Hello Yoko,

In the 947 there is no way to stop the output. You may use the AVmute, as you said!

But the easiest way is to stop the output from the SoC or put the 947 in power-down mode.
