TPS25750: PP5V left unused

Part Number: TPS25750

Hi Team,

We have some enquiry regards to PP5V supply input. Hope you can help to clarify. Thanks in advance.

One of our customer is looking at using TPS25750D in one of the new design. However, the design do not have 5V supply and they want to avoid the additional cost.

In the datasheet (7.3.2) it indicates that PP5V should be 4.9-5.5V. Can the TPS25750D PP5V use a 3.3V supply or be left unconnected or grounded if its is not needed in the application? The type-C port is design as UFP (no data) power sink only. The design do not need to power accessories or active cables.

With reference to datasheet (9.3.3.1.4) PP_5V UVLO. Will TPS25750D still operate (without PP5V supply) after enter into the Type-C ErrorRecovery state ?

Look forward to your feedback. Thanks again.
