Hi Team,

Our customer would like to know if there is a dedicated driver to communicate with TCAN using SPI communication protocol or they need to develop their own driver? Additionally, in their projects they need the CAN transport protocol (ISO 15765-2) and UDS (Unified diagnostic services) (ISO 14229-1). Using TCAN do they still need to have the software components that implement the above protocols?

    Danilo,

    If you look into the TCAN4550-Q1 product folder, there is a software starter pack zip file available that includes a SPI driver starter code. 

    For the ISO 15765-2 and ISO 14229-1, these are transport layer and application layer specifications, respectively. Using the TCAN4550-Q1, additional software on top of the starter code will be necessary. Unfortunately, TI doesn't have any code available for CAN controllers/applications with either of these specifications.
