Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB542
Hi,
I'm looking to confirm my understanding regarding the use of the cable orientation GPIO event of the TPS25750. The Host Interface Technical Reference Manual provides the following:
I'm using the TPS25750 in combination with a TUSB542, which has the following cable orientation 'SEL' input logic:
Am I correct in understanding that the polarity of the TPS25750 (i.e. LOW when CC1 oriented) and the TUSB542 (i.e. HIGH when CC1 oriented) are opposite? Secondly, if this is indeed the case, would the use of the 'Inverted Event' configuration option for the cable orientation GPIO on the TPS25750 be the correct configuration? I.e. does the 'Inverted Event' simply switch the HIGH/LOW polarity definition from the Host Interface Technical Reference Manual?
Note that I've got an external pullup resistor on this cable orientation trace (to the TUSB542's 1V8 VIO) between the TPS25750 and the TUSB542, so have selected the open drain output option. I've been through the Host Interface Technical Reference Manual a number of times but I don't believe it addresses some of these bit fields just yet, so just wanted to make absolutely sure this was the correct configuration.
Thanks!
