AM26LV32: Leakage between boards

Part Number: AM26LV32
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM26LV31, DS26LV31T

Hi expert,

My customer is using AM26LV32 and AM26LV31 in their system.

(A) board : AM26LV31 Driver

(B) board : AM26LV32 Receiver

They have an issue about the leakage voltage on VccA in A board side when A board is power down and B board is supplied VccB.

CH1 : VccA (Vcc for AM26LV31)

CH2 : VccB (Vcc for AM26LV32)

Could you please let me know the reason of this leakage voltage?

Also, could you please let me know how to avoid this leakage voltage?

Thanks

Muk

  • 0.7 V looks like a diode drop. Are there any other components connected to the bus and VccA?

The datasheet says in section 6.5 that the worst-case output current with power off is ±100 µA. For the DS26LV31T, this limit is 20 µA; I do not know what the typical value is.
