TPS25750: Is there any criteria to select TPS25750D or TPS25750S?

Hi Team,

There is TPS25750S and TPS25750D and the difference is the following.
TPS25750D: high-voltage integrated source path, 4 x 6 mm QFN package.
TPS25750S: uses an external NFET power path, 4 x 4mm QFN package.

Is there any criteria to select these two devices?
For example, TPS25750S is recommended when the application is more than 60W, etc.

I would just like to know if there is criteria to select these two devices in terms of USB PD power.
For example, TPS25750S (uses external NFET power path) is recommended when the application is more than 60W, etc.

Regarding the following articles, it seems TPS25750S is recommended to high-power system.

Hi Yaita-san,

The TPS25750S and the TPS25750D are functionally the same so it is up to customer preference on which BOM option they would like to select.

The TPS25750S has an external high voltage power path and the TPS25750D integrates the high voltage power path internally in the device. Both options can support up to 100W source or sink. The recommendations for the accompanying battery charger are below:

If you are designing a battery powered system for 45 W and below please consider BQ25792 or BQ25790
If you are designing a battery powered system for 45 W and above please consider BQ25731
