TUSB1044: USBC to USBC redriver

Hello,

Can a single TUSB1044 be used in a USB C receptacle to USB C receptacle application with full feature function? If so, are there any app notes or reference designs demonstrating this?

    You can't as this design will potentially extend the USB Type-C cable to more than 1m which is a USB spec violation. Having the two Type-C receptacles on both ends will also create issue with Normal and Flip orientation configuration.

    If you want to design with USB Type-C receptacle on both ends, you need a hub in the middle which is a Type-C dock design.

    If you only want to use the TUSB1044, you have to design with a Type-C plug on one end and then a Type-C receptacle on the other end.
