HI Team,

I would like to know what the exact meaning of DC boost and AC boost in TUSB212.

What will be affected if we change DC boost or AC boost level? Do we have any training  material about that? Thanks.

    Hi Hollis,

    Ac boost works to compensate the high frequency (capacitive) loss that is seen the transition bits of the USB 2 HS data. DC boost works to compensate for resistive losses on the non-transition bits caused by long or worn cables.

    In the eye diagram AC boost works on the leading and trailing edges. DC boost works on the Vh and Vl levels of the eye diagram. Let me know if you have additional questions.
