TPS25750EVM: GPIO pin mux function assignment

Part Number: TPS25750EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25750

Hello,

I'm trying to assign GPIO 2 to attachedassink and GPIO 3 to cable_orientation_event_port1 using TPS25750 Application Customization Tool but it doesn't go through at all.

Could you help me to assign GPIOs to functions? I would like to use TPS25750 standalone.

Thanks,

Choon

  • Choon,

Here is the sequence that should allow you to program any GPIO to the related EVENT.

    1. Connect you EVM to a power source and the USB micro B cable to enable connection to the GUI.
      1. The power source and be a Type C DFP or a dell power supply or both
    2. Click the Advanced Configuration Button on the right side of the first gui screen and select Enable Advanced Configuration in the Dialog Box that comes up.
    3. Select the Configuration page option That is a tab right under the TPS25750 Application Customization Tool Banner at the top of the GUI
    4. Now, On the left side of the GUI, you should see a list that includes IO CONFIG (0x5C).  Click this text
    5. This will bring up the IO list.
    6. You can click on each IO and configure the IO_Mapped Event for each of your IO's to match the event that you describe
    7. After you have configured the IOs and any other setup on your design, please click the Flash To Device From Current Configuration Button on the right side of the GUI.
    8. Once this has completed, you will need to power down the EVM by either disconnecting the type C cable or the dell power power supply or both depending on how you powered up the board.
    9. Power the board back up and connect your type C cable.  This should show the changes that you required

Please let me know if this sequence does not work for you
