Is it possible to implement the energy efficient ethernet using this Phy with a MAC not supporting EEE standard ? If so , how can we implement ? Also does EEE reduces power consumption than normal ethernet ?

    Hello,

    Energy efficient ethernet does reduce power consumption compared to normal ethernet. Table 6.5 in the datasheet has the specific numbers. For how to implement this using a non-EEE supporting MAC, please refer to section 7.3.4 in the datasheet.
