USB3.0 and USB2.0 Detection

Hi team,

My customer wants to get a solution to prevent from the wireless interference with USB3.0 signal.

When a hard disc inserted in a USB3.0 downstream port, which is adjancent with another downstream prot of wireless dongle for wireless mouse ,  the wireless mounse has an lagging problem.

My customer wants to solve this problem after checking the USB status for each USB3.0 ports separately.

After checking USB2.0 device is inserted or  USB3.0 device is insterted for a downstream port, the SOC will control the USB HUB for USB2.0 only or USB2.0/USB3.0 either.

I am not sure we have a soluton to detect if USB2.0 device is inserted or USB3.0 device is inserted.

If you have a solution for it, please recommend the solution.

Thanks and regards,

  • Hi,

We do not have a device that is specific for this kind of application. Customer should be able to access USB Host device tree to understand the type of device that is connected. Customer may need to use mux in order to disconnect USB3  bus in certain scenarios.
