DS90UB954-Q1: No image when using pattern generation

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hi team,

My customer have no image issue when using pattern generation

They connected the MIPI CSI2 of the main board to 954EVB, and i2c can be communicated. Currently, they plan to output the test pattern to confirm the MIPI interface. According to the data sheet, set the following three registers, but still no image...

Would you like to ask if there is any recommendation or application note that can be provided about the test pattern generated by 954?

In addition, do you provide a linux driver? They have found the following link and are studying it. I don’t know if you have seen it or confirmed that it is available?

Thanks.

  • Hello Feng bin Su,

what is the data type/resolution/fps expected by your SoC/Display?

There is no other AppNote than what is written in the data sheet.

FYI, we do not have/provide any Linux driver.

  • Hi Hamzeh,

Thank for help. Customer  data type/resolution/fps  is as below.

    YUY2(YUYV), 1920x1080, 30fps.

Would you have any register that you would like to check for this case or any other thing you need. Please let me know.

Whether one deserializer cna connect two serializer, if so can the test pattern also simulate two output sources?

Also attached their GUI setting and the part of the red frame is not sure what to set, so they use the default value,

    Thanks.

  • Hello Feng bin,

please make sure your SoC is adjusted to receive YUV422.

Other settings look okay to me. Reference means color bar, but fixed means solid color.

Other settings in red blocks are okay.

After pressing Apply, click on Enable. Thats all.

If you still can't see any thing, you need to check the settings on your SoC.
