About Standard Test Script for Compliance Test

Regarding to Standard Test Script on DP83848, my customer is asking a question.

I found Standard Test Script for DP83822 but I couldn’t find out it for DP83848.

Do you have it for DP83848?

    Hi Tao,

    There is no document that contains standard test scripts for DP83848, but the flow/logic of the scripts should be roughly the same. You would have to potentially change which registers to write and what value to write to those registers. However, keep in mind that the DP83848 does not support 10Base-Te (only supports 10Base-T) and does not support analog loopback.

    As for the loopback and BIST scripts, the DP83848 supports BIST and only MII loopback (DP83848 does not support analog or reverse loopback).

    The register configurations needed to enable these features will be different for the DP83848, so you can refer to the datasheet on how to enable them.

    I have an additional question.

    I think DP83848 is confirmed compliance test with EVM by TI.

    When they use EVM for compliance test, which EVM should they use?

    DP83848I-POE-EK or DP83848K-MAU-EK?

    Or each EVM are OK for test?
