DS90LV001: Level shift the output of LVDS driver or buffer

I have a customer needing to feed the differential output of an an LVDS driver or buffer into an ASIC.

The ASIC accepts 1.8V logic.

I took a look at this app note for SE output translation: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snla307/snla307.pdf

Anything similar for differential outputs?

Hi Gregory,

To interface 1.8V to DS90LV001 1.2V common mode voltage is to AC couple these two devices. Please refer to SLLA120:

Nasser,

So, in this case, I'd want to ac-couple to do LVDS -> CML levels, correct?

Could something like SN65CML100 work here?

Hi Gregory,

Has the customer checked the input specs (differential input and common mode voltage) of the ASIC? I assume 1.8V is just the voltage of the power rail.
