Hi experts,

Some question about 928 to check with you:

1. What's the timing sequence requirement of OEN, OSS_SEL and PDB pin? Should customer pull up OEN/OSS_SEL after pull up PDB? What's the required delay time?

2. Under which condition should customer use LCBL mode? When the STP cable is longer than 10m?

Hi Arie,

The OEN and OSS_SEL are strap pins. They should make sure the voltage on OEN and OSS_SEL are set before PDB is high.

Long cable mode really depends on the channel quality. In general you can enable long cable mode if the cable is over 5m.

Hi Charley,

Thank you for your reply. For question 1, datasheet states OEN should be enabled after PDB is high, but customer pull up OEN and OSS_SEL to 3V3 directly, so the initial state of OEN and OSS_SEL would be High before PDB is set to High. Will it cause any issue?

In this case, the customer can follow the datasheet and issue a register reset after device power up.
