TPS65983B: Application Customization tool does not have an option for Alpine Ridge

Titan Ridge firmware as the most stable without a dedicated firmware. The Titan Ridge firmware does not enable the POC GPIO5 for DG_PM_S0_EN from the Alpine Ridge to the TI part.

I am using the "Thunderbolt Alpine-Ridge SP BPD NGFF" reference design from Intel.  I am using the Titan Ridge firmware option in the TPS65983 Application Customization Tool.  During the power on sequence, I am getting to the point in booting to where the internal voltage rails should power on  for USB, PCIe, DP, Etc.  These rails do not power on and I am not able to identify my device as a Thunderbolt device by my computer.  I have tried most of the combination in the TPSxx Tool, but am still not able to get find a way to get my device to fully power on.  I was hoping there may be a firmware programmed by the TPSxx tool that will enable the Intel chip properly.

Please post your schematic and I can take a look at if there are misalignments with it. The firmware should be working correctly with Titan Ridge so this may be a hardware issue.

I talked with our team today, can you please try this project instead? The GPIOs are the same as your other project so we may need to dig into that issue more. I think that this project will be a better fit for your design, however.

The only difference from the recommendation today is that I am using the Aardvark to program instead of the TIVA.  the rest of the screen shot is what I started this process with on March 3rd.

Are you merging your firmware with the Intel NVM? If you are only programming the pd controller, you will never be able to get the ridge up and running.

I was not the original engineer for this project.  I was told, since the firmware is specific to the Intel reference design, the Intel settings were in the firmware provided by TI.  Is there additional firmware required for this setup?

 Do I need to merge the TI firmware with an intel file?
