Hi team,

My customer want to use two cascade DS125DF1610 to transmit 12.5G data.

The estimated loss is about 25dB between two 1610 devices. Is this design OK? 

What's the loss capability between two 1610?

    Hi Miranda,

    DS125DF1610 can have up to 31dB CTLE gain so it should be able to recover signal after 25dB loss. Please recommend using IBIS-AMI file to do system level simulations. It is preferred to use a single device in the signal path. Please send me email so we can send you IBIS-AMI file to do this system analyses first.
