I need to build a bridge between 10base-T and 10base-T1L, just like the EVM board does and with the same components.

in order to get good performances, is the hardware strap configuration enough or will I have to change the content of the internal registers (and then add a microcontroller for MDI communication)?

    Hi Alberto,

    If you are referring to the EVM, the hardware strap configurations should be enough to get the devices working. However, I would still recommend adding a microcontroller for MDIO communication as a debug tool in case anything goes wrong. At the very least, if space is an issue, you can have the MDIO/MDC line connected to headers, which can connect to a microcontroller on a separate board when debug is needed.
