DP83TG720S-Q1: SGMII Link Partner Advertised Ability

Hello,

We have J7 based board with DP83TG720S-Q1 PHY in it. When we try to connect to Partner computer it doesn't establish the link. After digging we found that the SGMII Link Partner Advertised Ability is wrong. 

Please see the below log below where "SGMII Advertised Ability" is set correctly but "SGMII Link Partner Advertised Ability" is wrong. 

What register we have to set to correct "SGMII Link Partner Advertised Ability"?

MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Link Speed                       = 1Gbps
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Dupexity                         = Full Duplex

MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Link Up                          = 1
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output: SGMII Link Partner Advertised Ability 
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Link Speed                       = 10Mbps
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Dupexity                         = Half Duplex
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  AUTO-NEG ACK                     = 0
MAIN_Cortex_R5_0_0: GEL Output:  Link Up                          = 0

    Hello Satish,

    I am checking with the team if we have any register like that. When you say link is not established, do you know if DP83TG720's cu cable side is not getting linked up to link partner or is it the Sgmii side of 720 not linking up with MAC? To check the cu side link status you may read register 0x0001 of PHY (in link up case it should read 0x0145).

    I just got a confirmation that Sgmii as such does not have a speed advertisement and it only passes through the speed on the cu cable side. So I suspect that your cu cable side link is not established and it is falling back to lowest speed as advertized speed.
