Hi Team,

Customer wants to know if external SPI ROM is must to connect with this device to be able working correctly at start-up, correct?

Cannot use MCU to write through SPI to control this device, correct?

Hi Andrew,

Correct TUSB9261 needs to see a read able SPI flash to load FW at start-up. If a MCU is to be used, the MCU would need to act like a SPI flash and respond to a burst read from TUSB9261.
