DS25CP104A: Configuring EQ in the IBIS model

In the DS25CP104A IBIS model, is there a way to turn on the EQUALIZER to configure for LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH gain? The EQ gain settings are programmed through the SMbus so I am wondering how to do this in IBIS simulation. Thanks!

Hi Thanh,

No, the nature of the pre-emphasis and equalization circuitry precludes them from being properly modeled by the simple I/V and V/T data in the IBIS model. Therefore, the model is only valid for this device when EQ and PE pins are set to logic 0.

Thanks for your quick response, I.K. I saw another post saying that TI does have an IBIS-AMI model for this part that supports EQ settings. But this requires an NDA. I will follow up with our FAE to see if I can get the model.
