TPS65987DDJ: Bug in documentation regarding Boot Mode Pin Strapping ?

The datasheet of TPS65987DDJ shows on page 40 table 5 Boot Mode Pin Strapping.
There are 2 entries with Dead Battery Mode as BP_ECWait_Internal and Device Configuration Infinite Wait.

This isn;t consistent application note 'TPS65987 and TPS65988SPI Flash Firmware Update Over I2C.pdf' which lists the first as safe and the other as Infinite Wait.

While the datasheet lists "Infinite Wait" twice, the application note has 1 safe and the other Infinite Wait.

It would make sense to me that MISO=1 would be safe and the other Infinite Wait. The datasheet doesn't list the safe variant

Can you confirm which document is correct? I would expect the application note, as it makes sense to support both options. but please confirm.

p.s. question, for the Dead Battery modes, were does the abbreviation BP stand for?

Hi Gerben,

Are you doing an PC/Thunderbolt design? Otherwise you can switch over to the TPS65987DDH.

Please refer to the datasheet for the boot modes, not the application note.

1. So the datasheet is correct and the application note is not?

2. Is there a mode with BP_ECWait_Internal in combination with safe configuration?

Question: Is there a mode with BP_ECWait_Internal in combination with safe configuration?

The datasheet doesn't list such option. It does list Infinite Wait twice, but no safe configuration.

With other words: We cannot do BP_ECWait_Internal and safe configuration ?
