Hello,
I am having trouble with my Cyclone V receiving the SDI output on OUT0.  

I have been trying various things such as changing the VOD and the De-emphasis to match the layout as the resistor setting is for 1-2 inches and it is more like 6-8 inches.  However we are only using it at 3G-SDI not 12G-SDI.

To make sure I was actually controlling the OUT0 settings correctly I tried to use the instructions in Section 3.15.3.2 OUT0 Power Down (EQ Mode) to power down OUT0.  It did not seem to power down as my fpga still shows a signal detect.  If i unplug my SDI cable then FPGA is able to see that.

Is there a certain sequence of steps you have to do first to modify the power-down, VOD or De-emphasis besides what is listed in Section 3.15.4 and 3.15.1. 

I also noticed there were settings for an Arria 10 for CD mode and was wondering if there were special settings needed in EQ mode with the cyclone V?

    Hi Brian,

    All needed is just to follow 3.15.4 and 3.15.1. Please note these registers are read modify/write. But other than this, we need to follow the programming steps.

    How about if you power down OUT0(section 3.15.3.2)? Does FPGA still sees the signal?
