Our customers are thinking of a design like the one shown below.

Is it possible to cascade connection from SN65LVCP402RGE (a) on substrate (a) to SN65LVCP402RGE (b) on substrate (b)?

    Hi Nishie-San,

    Generally it is preferred and recommended to use one equalizer within the transmission link. Cascading multiple device can accumulate random jitter. Further, it could make it difficult to fine tune equalizer settings.
