Hi team,
My customer is asking if UB934 could support 8 bit BT656 to SoC as below?
Thanks.

Hello James,
This has been answered several times on the E2E forums before: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/interface-forum/784043/ds90ub933-q1-bt656-signal
Please see the answer here

Hi Casey,
Thanks for the quick response.
But this question is different from your link.
Customer is asking if they could use 8 bit BT656 instead of 10 or 12bit from UB934 to SoC.
Please let me know if you have any advice, thanks.
Hello James,
The 933/934 or 913A/914A simply pass up to 12 parallel bits which are clocked by PCLK through from one side of the link to the other and do not alter the data. So as long as the BT. 656 data can be sent over <12 parallel pins with PCLK within the maximum supported range of the devices, then it can work. You can use less than the maximum number of 12 data pins too (just leave them disconnected or pulled down with resistor).
Best Regards,
Casey
