TPS65988EVM: Not recieving power to USB-PD-Duo board (Sink)

Hi Connor,

When the TPS65988 is acting as a 20V sink, would you be able to measure the voltage on the SYS_PWR, P5V, and P3V3 to make sure they are all at their prover values? Sys_PWR should be 20V. Would you also be able to measure the voltage on either the A-VAR of B-VAR test point, depending on which one should be acting as the source. For example, if Port B is going to be the source port, then measure B-VAR

My customer checked all the voltages. SYS_PWR, P5V, and P3V3 are all the correct voltage level. The EVM as sink works find, but it can not pip the power to the sink board of the USB-PD DUO board. They tested both of the ports and only the Sink port has power.

They also saw a potential issue in the EVM. Have you seen this before as well?

For the hardware, I find out it might be the Q16 power FET short out. Then I replace a new one, but it still not work. Then I can not find out the issue . Currently , the D3 LED never light it up. And also one of the Ti staff (CSC) who is Gate, Max get all the file and picture of my board. He said “Seeing as this is likely a random board defect”.

Attached are the project files used in TPS65988 EVM and the USB-PD-DUO board. The connection is using USB-PD-DUO board’ s source board connect port B of the TPS65988 EVM, TPS65988 EVM’s port A connect to the sink board.
