DS90UB960-Q1: Can someone comment on the following front end

Part Number: DS90UB960-Q1

I routed a board with a 960 DES on it but have been having issues getting the device to lock. I have decided to redo the board as the front end seems to have some PCB issues. Could someone look at the following image and comment if they see any major issues with it. The board is a 4 layer with 50R tracks. The inner layers are GND and GND/PWR. Thanks

  • Hello,

So from the top/bottom layers I feel it looks good.  You are not using 45 degree angles and the PoC network is orthogonal to the trace, and the spacing looks correct.

With that said it is hard to say without having seen the planes below.  It's important to not cross any plane edges, also it is recommended to moat the plane under the trace near the PoC network to maintain 50 ohms impedance.  I understand that you probably don't want to share too much more layout information on a public forum.  I sent you a connection request we can share private messages if that is better.

    Regards,

    Nick
