DS90UB933-Q1: How to calculate speed

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Hi,

The description of DS90UB933 is "12-bit 100 MHz FPD-Link III Serializer for 1MP/60fps and 2MP/30fps Cameras". But our customer said it can NOT support 2MP/30fps in their application. My question is: 1. What's the maximum value? 2. How to calculate the value (1MP/60fps or 2MP/30fps)?

Thanks.

  • Hello Kevin,

The maximum supported Line Rate is shown in the datasheet, section "7.3.2 Line Rate Calculations for the DS90UB933/934". And the maximum supported PCLK is 100MHz.
    In your use cae, to calculate PCLK = Hres x Vres x Bits/pixel x FPS x blanking = 2Mp x 30 x 12 x 1.2 = ~87MHz which is okay.
