TCAN1042GV-Q1: Will pull-down resistor at STB pin affect mode determination

Part Number: TCAN1042GV-Q1

Dear TRX expert,

My customer is using TCAN1042GVDRBRQ1 and schematic is shown as below:

The STB is connect to GND through a 10k ohm resistor, and VIO is connect to 3.3v supply.

The question is, Will the internal source at STB pin affect the level determination? We are afraid the pull down resistor will generate the undesired biased at STB pin.

Thank you!

Pin Tsai

  • Pin,

Placing a 10k pull-down on the STB pin will keep the pin in the logic-low state, leaving the device in normal mode indefinitely. the internal pull-up is much weaker than 10k ohms, so there isn't any risk for the internal source to overtake the external pull-down.

    Regards,
