Hi Team,

My customer just connect SuperSpeed bus on upstream port, and do not connect high-speed 、full-speed、low-speed bus(Upstream connect with SSTX+,SSTX-,SSRX+ SSRX- and power line, no connection with D+ D-), then can the downstream support SuperSpeed、high-speed 、full-speed、low-speed communication?

Hi Sunny,

No, this is not allowed per USB spec. When using USB 3 the USB 2 bus (D+,D-) of the upstream port must also be connected to the USB Host. In the above scenario the TUSB8044A will not operate normally.
