    Hi Nakatsuka,

    I'm checking with my product marketing engineer to see if the FN version of the device (I assume thats the one you're interested in) can be purchased. {Currently on TI store I see that its unavailable}

    Hi Bobby,

    PC16552 has a 1.5 Mbit / s Data Rate,
    NS16C2552 has a 5 Mbit / s Data Rate.
    is there a problem?

    Hi Nakatsuka,

    I saw that the FN package which is pin to pin with the PC16552D is out of stock on our TI.com store so I was verifying with the PME if the device was still orderable. From his response, it should be but there is likely going to be lead times on it.

    In theory, the two devices should be compatible but in practice, there may be some minor differences which may require software changes. We haven't found any differences between the two devices yet. I would suggest trying to get a hold of a sample and seeing if the device works, if not then we may need to debug to see what software changes may be necessary.

    The package uses 44–PLCC FN0044A.
    I get a sample and check it.
