TUSB1002A: cascading TUSB1002A S-parameters file

Hello ,

I am a beginner and I would like to ask you some questions . I have generated an s4p file from VNA ( Vectro Network Analyser ) for a connector-cable that I am wroking on .This s4p file represents single-ended s-parameters . So in order to simulate the effect of the redriver , is it correct to cascade the single-ended s4p file I have with the s4p files of the redriver you have provided in your website ? or do I need to convert the file i have into a mixed signal s4p file ?

Hi Ameny,

The s-parameter model for TUSB1002A is single ended as well so you can simply cascaded the connector/cable model you have. Be sure to sure you have the correct port order in your model otherwise results will be severely distorted.

Another question if I may : In order to visualize the S dd ( differential to differential ) parameters , what inputs should i inject in port 1 and port 3 ?

The inputs should be a AC signal that is sweep in frequency for the desired range. In S-parameter simulations the input signal is typically handled by the simulator.
