Dears

My customer have used this chip in a condition with only 1.7m cable, and the source eye diagram is very good, but with our device have 14dB boost, the eye become worse, so want your help to double confirm the suggest setting of our device in this short cable case.

    Hi Jun,

    With 14dB boost as you noted, it means the customer is using a boost setting of 001. Please change boost setting to 000. This is done by forcing BST_0 = BST_1=BST_2=0 in pin mode. Or setting Reg 0x03 and 0x04 BC_0=BC_1=BC_2=0 through SMBus register settings.
