TPS25810: vs TPS25814

Part Number: TPS25810
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25814

What is the difference between TPS25810 and TPS25814?

  • Hello,

The TPS25814 is the next generation part of the TPS25810. The TPS25814 features many of the status pins that the TPS25810 has, such as DEBUG, FAULT, POL, SINK/UFP. The TPS25814 also has an I2C option to interface with an EC that the TPS25810 does not have. The input power is a little different with the TPS25814. The TPS25814 requires a 5V rail as well as a 3.3V rail for device power. The TPS25814 also has up to 26V tolerant CC pins that are protected from short to VBUS events that can happen on cable unplug. The TPS25814 offers an all in one solution for BC1.2 control, and can charge in CDP, DCP, or DCP Auto Mode 1.

Both devices offer multiple current limit options.

    Thanks,

    Emma
