DS90UB928Q-Q1: power-supply sequence between 925 and 928

Part Number: DS90UB928Q-Q1

I'm using TI's FPD-LINK III Device,DS90UB925 & DS90UB928 for graphic application. And there is some question about power-supply sequence. When the 928 device powered-on before 925 device, FPD LINK device worked fine. And the TFTLCD display the image correctly. But when the 925 Device powered-on before 928 device, there is nothing on the TFTLCD. I think the problem is caused by sync method between 925 & 928. BTW,925 device's program is maked by others which can not be changed. So, what can I do with my local 928 device to solve the power-supply sequence problem? Thanks.

  • Hello,

normally it should not make any difference if the SER is powered-up first or the DES.

Can you try something, If the SER is powered-up first, then please monitor reg 0x1C[1:0], both bits should go high. once they are high, wait for 45ms and read them again, if they are still high, then apply a digital reset on the 928 by writing reg 0x01[0]=1.
