Part Number: TUSB4041I

Hi Sir,

My customer pull low of VBUS_5V,Down port EN will be "high", When VBUS_5V in pull high, Down port EN still "HI",

If want VBUS_5V pull low, and  Down port EN is "Low";

when VBUS_5V Pull high, Down port EN is "HI",

How can we make it happen? can we modify registers?

Thanks, Ian.

  • Hi Ian,

    Does the customer have battery charging enabled on the downstream ports?  If they have pullups on the PWRCTL_BATEN outputs (or they enabled the battery charging register over I2C or SMBUS) battery charging will be enabled and the downstream port power will turn on when USB_VBUS is low to support DCP mode.  If they disable battery charging downstream port power controls will be de-asserted when USB_VBUS is low.

  • Hi JMMN,

    We try to modify Reg_6h(batEn[n]) to disable,
    USB_VBUS status not as expect?

    Thanks, Ian.

  • Can you send me a schematic?  Did the behavior change after the battery charging mode was disabled?

    Regards,

    JMMN
