TPS65988: FRS Completetion

Hi,

I am using the TPS65988DH part in my design. For role swap from Sink to Source, I have given configurations for FRS. I don't know whether the other end device supports FRS.

So needed to confirm for FRS to happen both the devices need to support FRS. Am I right?

Also, FRS is supported only in PD devices, right?

If the other end device is not FRS supported, is there any other way to do the Role swap without manual disconnection and reconnection?

Hello,

Fast Role Swap is a USB PD 3.0 feature. FRS ensures that the data connection will not be interrupted during the role switch. Other role swaps could cause the data connection interruption. Please read more about fast role swap here:
